South Carolina Ballet invites young dancers to audition for children’s roles in our professional production of Nutcracker, performing at the Lancaster High School Multipurpose Building on Friday, December 5th at 7:30 PM.This is a special opportunity for young dancers to perform alongside South Carolina Ballet’s professional company in a full-scale theatrical production that delights audiences across the state each holiday season.

Audition Date - Sunday, October 12
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM | Ages 4–6
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM | Ages 7–10
Audition Fee
Pre-Registration: $20 (available through Friday, October 10)
Day-Of Registration: $25 (cash or check only, paid at the studio)
Checks should be made out to South Carolina Ballet
Rehearsals & Performance
All rehearsals are mandatory. Missing a rehearsal for any reason may result in removal from the production. Please confirm your child’s availability for all dates before auditioning.
Performance:
Friday, December 5th at 7:30 PM | Lancaster High School Multipurpose Building
Rehearsal Dates:
Afternoons of November 2, 9, 16, and 23
Exact rehearsal times will be shared with accepted dancers.
Audition Dress Code
Girls: Black leotard, pink tights, hair in a slick bun, light makeup (lip and cheek color, light eyeshadow)
Boys: White leotard or plain white t-shirt, black tights and black shoes — or black tights with white socks and white shoes
