About Speaker: Jonathan Tan is a technology manager at the Technology Transfer and Innovation (TTI) office of the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he manages the intellectual property, technology licensing and commercialization of Infocomm Technology inventions from the university. He used to manage the Infocomm Technology portfolio at IPI’s Intermediary Division. At IPI, he assisted local enterprises in seeking out and gaining access to innovative Infocomm Technologies that may enhance the companies’ products and services, improve their processes, and grow their businesses. Prior to joining IPI, Jonathan was with the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) before their merger to form IMDA. He worked in the following departments at IDA: IT in Learning, Connected Games, Virtual Worlds and the Government Innovation Office. There, he partnered government agencies and companies to implement various ICT-related projects and initiatives. Jonathan started off his career as a software engineer at a number of start-up companies, National Computer Systems (NCS) and A*STAR’s Bioinformatics Institute (BII), developing various mobile and web applications.
