About this Event
Our mission :
To foster a supportive community that promotes awareness and understanding of women's mental health with a strong focus on all stages of perinatal loss. We aim to provide a platform for individuals of our community to share their personal experiences and insights, while also connecting with clinicians who can offer valuable resources and guidance. By encouraging open dialogue and collaboration, we strive to empower mothers and families, reduce stigma, and enhance the overall well-being of our communities.
This event will have 2 speakers:
Kristin Calderon is a behavioral health professional who also has been through some of her own personal experiences with maternal mental health issues. She will speak about her past struggles with infertility, early miscarriage, late 2nd trimester losses, and her lifelong battle with being a septic shock survivor due to fetal demise. She will also speak on her struggles with PTSD from the Sepsis and having PPD/PPA after the birth of her rainbow baby daughter. She will touch on how she was able to get through these hurdles with the help of community and therapy. Kristin will also share information on her company Averte and Trivium Life Services, and will have important resources to share with the guests and community who may be struggling with their mental health (or know someone who is).
Aside from our 2 speakers, we are hoping to have a roundtable for all to share their stories and experiences.
Sandwiches, treats, and coffee will be provided!
This event is by RSVP only. Space is extremely limited. Please let us know ASAP if your RSVP changes, as we are confident there will be a waitlist for this event.
