About Cath Thompson
Moving from Sydney to Orange in 2002 Cath quickly immersed herself in the Orange food & wine scene joining the F.O.O.D (Food of Orange District) WEEK committee and bringing the likes of Bill Granger (Bills) and Serge Dansereau (Bathers Pavilion) to the district, as well as organizing signature dinners and events, promoting the 10 day event and then coordinating the Orange Wine Festival in 2003.
In 2005 Cath took on the role of Market Manager at the Orange Region Farmers Market and grew the market and its reputation over her 10 year tenure.
She works now at Brangayne wines with Cellar Door sales, promoting their brand and distributing to local restaurants and outlets.
Cath has continued to pursue her cooking and catering interests (having studied at Sydney East Sydney Technical College in the early 1990’s) and establishing Me‘n’us which caters for small and large private functions. She also holds cooking groups, farm gate tours and producer driven events, most notably the ‘Meet the Producers Lunch’ with Country Style magazine, held in April each year.

Married to Craig and now an ‘empty nester’, whenever the time allows Cath enjoys getting away herself – usually somewhere near the ocean or if not, then enjoying some yoga, the odd game of golf, a good book or glass of local wine and enjoying the views on her property just out of Orange.

Her interest of bringing people together and showcasing the best of the district, sparked the idea of hosting the Nurture & Nature A Taste of Orange weekend with Victoria as they bounced around the idea whilst catching up one weekend in Orange.

About Victoria Kasunic
Victoria has always been drawn to spirituality since reading Out on a Limb by Shirley MacLaine in the 80s as teenager. Her interest in people’s inner worlds led her to train as a psychologist which she has been practising for the past 20 years. Her spiritual path brought her to regular meditation practice and Reiki training (in the Usui Tradition) and then to yoga about 10 years ago. Since then she has trained as a yoga teacher in the Krishnamacharya lineage in Australia and India. She has also done additional training in Trauma sensitive yoga and Yin Yoga.
Victoria often works as a media consultant on the ABC series, You Can't Ask That, Making Australia Happy, Making Couples Happy, Making Families Happy and SBS series Filthy Rich and Homeless, First Contact, and Go Back to Where You Came From. She offers individual coaching and psychology services (www.southsydneypts.com.au) as well as 1:1 yoga sessions, workshops and retreats (https://www.facebook.com/theluvofyoga).
Victoria loves yoga (obviously), travel, good food and an occasional wine. She jumped at the chance to share yoga at the Nurture and Nourish: A Taste of Orange weekend with Cath because she thought it would be a fun way to do all the things she loves.
