NUR-D will be kicking off the 5th Annual Spa-Con with a concert on September 24th!Spa-Con V Friday Schedule:
Registration Opens: 5:00 p.m.
Door Open: 7:00 p.m.
Opening Concert w/ Nur-D in Horner Hall: 7:15 p.m.
After party at Bridge Street LIVE w/The Memphis Soul Revue on Bridge Street: 8:30 p.m.
VIP Party (VIP Badge Holders Only) Bridge Street Live: 9:00 p.m.
? Tickets for the Spa-Con opening concert with Nur-D are available at spa-con.org. Admission to the Nur-D show is included with a Weekend or VIP pass, or you may purchase a stand alone ticket for the show.
All ages are welcome. ? Masks will be required (except when eating, drinking and for photo opps IF the removal of masks is allowed by the individual guests).
Matt Allen is a Minneapolis-based hip-hop artist who goes by the identity, Nur-D. Since Feb. 2018, Nur-D took his first dip into this ocean of music through an open mic competition called "Shut Up & Rap" put on by 95.3FM a local Minnesota radio station.
"Coming in I had no idea how this Hip-Hop game worked but I knew I loved performing and so that's what I did.
And I ended up winning four times in a row!"
Nur-D was eventually retired me from competition but offered a spot in a huge Hip Hop festival called Soundset where he has been able to do Hip Hop all over the Mid West and the coasts as well; from Paisley Park, First Avenue, and even US Bank Stadium. Touring with Brother Ali and has shared a bill with the likes of Jaden Smith, Tyler the Creator, and the Wu Tang Clan!
