A record-breaking 175 horses lost their lives on Australian racetracks in the 2024/2025 racing year. This is up 14% from the previous year and included 9yo thoroughbred 'The Inevitable' who was killed on track after sustaining fatal injuries at last year's Launceston Cup.
Horse racing is not a sport. It is not entertainment to watch innocent animals in pain and fear.
Join us when we stand up for the horses forced to run and risk their lives at the Launceston Cup 2026.
We will meet opposite the entrance to the racetrack at 11am.
WHAT TO BRING: Friends, family, refreshments, weather appropriate items eg sunscreen, umbrella etc as required
WHAT TO WEAR: Dress smart-casual at a minimum. Dress as if you are attending the races even better.
Banners and posters will be provided.
