Numbskull Presents: SALIVA, Earshot, Austin John Winkler, & LYLVC Saliva’s career launched in 2001 with the release Every Six Seconds–a certified Double Platinum-selling album, containing the hits, “Click Click Boom” and 2002 Grammy nominated, “Your Disease.” Saliva in-your-face, anthemic writing style continued with a certified Gold-selling album Back Into Your System with hits: “Always,” “Raise Up,” and the Nikki Sixx co-written, “Rest In Pieces.”
After Josey Scott quit in 2011, vocalist Bobby Amaru joined the band. Bringing a contemporary feel while staying true to the bands blue collar roots, Amaru has been the Saliva frontman for OVER a decade and the producer of five new records (Rise Up 2013, Love Lies and Therapy 2016, 10 Lives 2018, Every Twenty Years EP 2021, Revelation 2023).
Shortly before the release of the most recent album, Saliva guitarist Wayne Swinny passed away unexpectedly. The "Come Back Stronger" video was notably filmed just days before Swinny's death, and was dedicated to the fallen Guitarist . The album went on to be highly acclaimed by critics and the singles “Crows” & “High On Me” charted top 20 on Billboard’s active rock chart. The band continues to honor 'Uncle Wayne' at every show.
The loss of a member meant some changes to the line up.
'Wayne was so integral to developing the sound that initially put Saliva and the map. On top of his musical abilities, it was his kind, humble, and down to earth nature that made our fans so loyal. It was important that whoever we chose to fill the role was both a talented musician and able to embrace our fans as well as he did'
Amaru continued, 'Wayne and I were very close & I know he wanted Saliva to continue forward in the direction it was headed. '
After a great deal of consideration, Amaru decided to add Sebastian LaBar & Joshua Kulack to handle guitars.
'I wanted to add them because Wayne knew them well...in fact both had filled in for Wayne a few times when he had to miss shows in the past. Wayne had a lot of respect for both guys as players & friends.'
Rounding out the line up is veteran bassist Brad Stewart and Sammi Jo Bishop on drums. Stewart joined Saliva in 2015 after stints in Shinedown (2001-2005) and Fuel (2008-2015).
With over 3 million Spotify Monthly Listeners, and 1 illion US streams, the popularity of the music, old & new, endures and Saliva has no intention of slowing down. Expect 2025 to be all about bringing new music to the fans, including more touring, and a new album coming. Most recently Saliva entered the studio to work with Howard Benson and Neil Sanderson on some tracks for their upcoming Re-Release of Revelation titled Revelation : Retold. The first single, “Time Bomb”, featuring Peyton Parrish, was released November 1st, 2024.
