This talk is part of the Diverse Voices of Maths series by ICMS, to highlight the variety of maths and mathematicians.
In a world of fake news it's important to be able to think critically about what we are told in the media. This thought provoking talk featuring audience games and experiments takes us on an amusing tour of misleading or misunderstood statistics and number facts from real news stories. Come to this talk to be both entertained and empowered to make informed life decisions, by the power of maths.
