NTMN November Chapter Meeting: Herping the MetroplexPhoto of American Bullfrog / Lithobates catesbeianus by Emily D. Black
If you have ever had a passing interest or deep passion for reptiles and amphibians, then this is the meeting for you. This talk will cover what herpetology is, reasons why you should go herping, an overview of species in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, and how their existence is deeply embedded in American culture
Our Speaker will be Caleb Hinojos. Caleb has been a master naturalist since 2022 and a master herpetologist since 2024, but his love for the subject dates back over 30 years to a captivating encounter with a green anole. Over the decades, he has taken care of over 200 reptiles with a major focus on snakes.
