About this Event

Transport for NSW Group Technology is at the forefront of a sweeping digital transformation, dedicated to building an inclusive, secure, and future-ready transport ecosystem for the people of New South Wales. Guided by the Transport Technology Strategy, our mission is to enhance efficiency, accessibility, and security across technological platforms to deliver significant improvements in road safety, optimised network operations, and streamlined processes for planning, booking, and paying for public transport journeys, as well as for completing road regulatory transactions.

Jason Tuendemann, Group Chief Technology Officer will explore the vision, strategy, and tangible benefits of Transport for NSW’s digital initiatives, highlighting the collaborative approach to delivering secure, innovative, and accessible solutions for all New South Wales residents.

Jason Tuendemann, Group Chief Technology Officer at Transport, brings extensive experience in technology leadership. He previously served as Senior Practice Manager at Amazon Web Services, leading a Professional Services division in the Asia Pacific region, and as Chief Information and Technology Officer at Network Ten, driving the strategic direction of the organisation’s technologies and operations.

Jason joined Network Ten in 2000, progressing through various technology leadership roles before becoming CITO in 2013. He led digital transformation, streamlined operations, and integrated IT and technical engineering teams through several company merger activities. Prior to Network Ten, he worked as Engineering Manager at Sky News Australia and held technology roles at Star TV in China, India, and Hong Kong. At Amazon Web Services, Jason led a Professional Services division across the Asia Pacific region, consulting and driving digital transformation.

As Group Chief Technology Officer at Transport, Jason oversees all group technology aspects including technology strategy and architecture, data, cyber, infrastructure, systems integration, and operational technology, focusing on delivering meaningful outcomes for passengers and customers.

Jason holds a Master of Business and Administration specialising in Technology and has served as a director and chairperson on company and industry boards.

Outside of work, Jason is passionate about aviation, holding a commercial pilot’s license, and enjoys cycling and keeping fit.
