Empty Bowls is back! The Empty Bowls Project is an international grassroots effort to raise both money and awareness in the fight to end hunger. The Nashua High School Art Honor Society has been doing both to benefit the Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter for over 25 years!
Empty Bowls raises awareness about hunger by serving diners the same food many guests at soup kitchens often eat: a bowl of soup and a slice of bread. For this wonderful community event, the National Art Honor students, NHSS & NHSN students, and others make more than 600 ceramic bowls for our event. Everyone who purchases a ticket to the event picks their bowl to eat their soup in and they take it home at the end of the night.
Each bowl is created to remind the attendees that there is hunger in our community. Join us for a fun evening of fundraising for NSKS while enjoying some delicious soup from local restaurants. It’s a great evening for the whole family. A Family ticket package is available. In addition to delicious food, guests can enjoy the impressive NHS Jazz Band.
We hope that you will join us and help those who truly have empty bowls.
Snow date is February 20th.
