NRA Basics of PISTOL Shooting Course

This is the NRA BASICS of Pistol Shooting Course.

8 hours - Includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a pistol.

This comprehensive course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a PISTOL in target shooting.

Students will learn:

• Safe gun handling
• Pistol parts and operation
• Ammunition knowledge
• Shooting fundamentals
• Shooting from the Bench Rest position and Standing position
• Cleaning, and continued opportunities for further skill development.

Students will receive:

1. Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook
2. NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure
3. Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet
4. Basic of Pistol Shooting Student Examination
5. Course Completion Certificate.

Preparation:

• Please leave guns and ammo in your car.
• Bring at least 100 cartridges (Bullets) for live fire on the range.
• Bring 1 magazine that fits your pistol if it needs one.
• No live ammunition is allowed in the classroom.
• If you do not own a pistol, you may rent one of ours.
• Ammunition is purchased separately for your live fire exercises.
• Rentals are limited.
• Each student is required to sign a waiver of liability before each class.
