Welcome to the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course happening on March 29, 2024! This in-person event is perfect for those looking to enhance their pistol skills. Join us for a day filled with learning, practice, and improvement. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the fundamentals of pistol shooting in a safe and supportive environment. This NRA Basics Pistol Course is a comprehensive course to introduce you to handguns. This course will be $110.00, which covers your range and classroom fee and the course materials. Your NRA Certified Pistol Instructors will go over essential information for beginners and anyone wanting to refresh their knowledge about the basics and fundamentals. We will go over both types of handguns: semi-automatics and revolvers and teach you how to efficiently and effectively handle and operate both types.

What you will learn:

• Essential gun safety rules
• Different types of pistols
• How to pick the right gun
• The basics of ammunition
• The fundamentals of pistol shooting
• Different shooting positions
• The most common shooting errors and how to prevent them
• Malfunctions and how to clear them
• Proper gun cleaning and maintenance
• How to maintain your skills
• Scoring targets

What you will need:

• Eye and ear protection
• Minimum 200 rounds of factory ammunition (ammo will be available on site for purchase)
• Suitable gun cleaning kit and your pistol owners manual (If using our guns, you will not need a manual)
• Handgun of your choice: Semi-auto or Revolver (Rentals will be available on site)
