About this Event
NOVUS, Trinity’s new-music ensemble, continues its groundbreaking Renewal series with Undivided, a concert that invites the audience into a space of empathy and transformation. The pinnacle of this bold celebration of authenticity is the world premiere of Andrew Yee’s Trans Requiem, a work for trans voices, choirs, and orchestra commissioned by Trinity. Amplifying the beauty, strength, and diversity of the trans experience, Yee’s powerful and deeply personal expression is a moving testament to identity that affirms the dignity of every voice. Complementing the work is a Trinity arrangement of Samuel Barber’s stunning Agnus Dei (Adagio for Strings) and Sonic Meditations by Pauline Oliveros, which brings together everyone in the church space as performers and collaborators. Performed by Trinity Choir, Trinity Youth Chorus, and NOVUS; Breanna Sinclairé and Katherine Goforth, soloists.
Registration for this free event is highly recommended as seating is limited.
