About this Event
Please join us again at our monthly social Gathering at Mory’s on Wednesday, November 13, from 5:30-7:30 pm, at Louis’ Lounge at Mory’s. Over drinks (first drink on us!) and appetizers (also on us!), we will chat with our Special Guest, Dr. Maria Kogelnik, about what makes women’s careers in STEM difficult.
Maria Kogelnik is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Yale Department of Economics, where she focuses on the Gender & Growth Gaps research initiative. Using experimental and applied microeconomic methods, she studies questions in the areas of gender and labor economics, including the effect and perception of quotas, and gender differences in persistence as well as preferences for power. Kogelnik earned her PhD in economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is originally from Austria.
