The next Friends of Bogong weekend – November 16-17 - will be a combined workparty and celebration of 40th Anniversary.The weekend will be divided into two parts;
Workparty activities are yet to be fully worked out. We've just been informed that our new ranger will be Andy Kromar so we will be talking to him.
On Saturday evening we are aiming to have a celebratory BBQ at Buckety Plain. If the weather is unsuitable then alternative locations will be either Mountain Creek or Mt Beauty.
We will also be visiting some of the many sites we have conducted work activities over the last 40 years. Depending on weather, this may involve some short walks or drives to these spots. We are currently considering a number of options.
For those wishing to camp on the weekend, we will at Mountain Creek on Friday night and Buckety Plain on Saturday night.
This weekend is a great opportunity to introduce any newcomers to the High Plains so if you have friends/family who are interested please bring them along.
