Capitol Hill Restoration Society Walking Tours - November Event
About this Event

Capitol Hill Restoration Society was founded 60 years ago to help preserve and protect the historic neighborhood’s architectural and residential character. This spring we added a new event to our annual calendar - Tour of Tours, walking tours that highlight the rich history, architecture, and stories that make up the fabric of our community.

Join us this November for our third series of guided walking tours on November 13 and 14, 2021. Reservations now available through November 11th at 11pm.

If you can't attend this event, follow us on Instagram and on our website Capitol Hill Restoration Society for details to come about our next walking tour events to come early 2022.

The last tour sold out several days in advance and ticket sales for this event will close on Thursday, November 11th. So, if you want to go (and we hope you do!) don’t delay in confirming your plans.

Tour Highlights:

  • Architecture of Capitol Hill: learn about the rich variety and interplay of style and function in this historic neighborhood
  • Capitol Hill Alleys: a trip back in time to explore the workaday world of both residential and commercial uses
  • Parks: From Marion Park to Garfield Park and the neighborhood between them. From L’Enfant’s plans to the 21st century. On this walking tour we will share stories of buildings, organizations and people in the area.
  • Resistance: Visit the Capitol Hill institutions and residences, and hear the stories of a diverse set of people and groups who have stood up for political, social, and cultural change in the area of civil, women’s, and LGBTQ+ rights.

CHRS is run by volunteers. We are perfectly, imperfect humans who cross our T's and dot our I's but on occasion make a mistake. If you see an error, never hesitate to reach out and please let us know.
