The Kite Trust is a Cambridgeshire based charity that has been supporting LGBTQ+ youth in the county for over 30 years.
Our Open Access Courses are new for 2024 and are designed to be a condensed version of our full training packages that are more accessible for individuals’ or small group's development. We will be running these sessions every month, covering a variety of topics including LGBTQ/Trans+ Inclusion, Trans Healthcare, Working with LGBTQ+ youth and more. Best Practice in LGBTQ+ Inclusion
What does it mean to be LGBTQ+ in 2024? This 2 -hour, in-person session explores LGBTQ+ identities and language, current UK experiences and provides practical ideas that you can implement in your workplace/practice.
The outcomes for this session will be:
1. A better understanding of LGBTQ+ identities and language and the importance of getting it right.
2. An awareness of LGBTQ+ experiences in the UK and the wider world in 2024, and what impact this has on our clients/colleagues
3. Increased knowledge of best practice and allyship for individuals and organisations
This session will be held IN PERSON at our Cambridge LGBTQ+ Centre.
