November is the LAST month in 2024 that we will be offering a beginner Lindy Hop series! This class covers everything from the triple step to the swingout. No partner or prior experience is required, so give it a try before the year ends!Our intermediate series this month will be focusing on common social dance patterns like Frankie Sixes and the Minne Dip. Our goal is to expand your vocabulary on the dance floor and explore new shapes! It is expected that students in this series have an understanding of basic Lindy moves such as the tuck turn and the swingout. If you've taken our beginner series before, you're good to go!
Both of our lesson series are progressive, which means each class builds on the one beforehand and it is best to come each week. Each series in November is only three weeks long due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Lessons run from 7-8pm at the Brownhoist every Thursday and are $15 per week.
From 8-10pm is our weekly social dance! Come dance the night away to our swinging DJs every Thursday (except Thanksgiving). The social dance costs $8, $5 with student ID, or is FREE for folks who take lessons beforehand.
Free parking at the Brownhoist is available in the lot at the corner of St. Clair and E. 45th, as well as on surrounding streets.
