About this Event
This month we are excited to have Keith and Christa Costello as our guest speakers.
The Costellos, Keith and Christa, who have both had entrepreneurial aspirations even prior to meeting took a keen interest in real estate after the housing market bubble burst in 2008. They started attending real estate seminars and investor group meetings together to learn about the industry. They saw great opportunities in Pottstown, a once thriving town that just needed a little extra TLC. They embarked on their journey in June 2011 and never looked back! They now own and self-manage both residential and mixed-use commercial buildings.
Over the past decade, they have partnered with many community entities, including the borough, PAED and The Hill School to reimagine the way housing should be in town with the new fresh investors flocking to Pottstown. They were two of the founders of the Pottstown Housing Coalition as well as they partnered with PAED which establish the ‘I Pick Pottstown’ marketing campaign. Their personal motto from the beginning has been to ‘turn houses into homes!’ The majority of their real estate acquisitions were bank owned/REO parcels that sat vacant for many years. Several in dilapidated and ransacked conditions where plumbing copper was stolen, sewer lines were broken thus requiring even more comprehensive rehabilitation on top of the cosmetic improvements that were needed. Keith and Christa are eager and excited to share their personal story of successes and tips & tricks they learned throughout the years.
