Ready to truly understand the world of Kizomba?Join us for Under the Umbrella: Understanding Kizomba — a two-part workshop series designed to help you explore the full spectrum of styles that live beneath the Kizomba name.
Across two in-depth sessions, we’ll uncover how Kizomba, Semba, Tarraxinha, Tarraxo, Urban Kiz, and Kizomba Fusion connect, differ, and continue to evolve — musically, culturally, and through movement.
You’ll learn to:
• Recognize each style’s distinct rhythm, posture, and energy
• Understand the musical and cultural roots that shaped them
• Dance each style with greater connection, confidence, and respect
Whether you’re new to the dance or have been part of the scene for years, this series will deepen your understanding and elevate your expression on the dance floor.
