About this Event
Join others who have been affected by adoption. This includes Adoptees, Adoptive Families and Birth Families. The support group will be led by Stacy Meadows, LMSW. If you have never attended our support group, this a great time to connect. If you are a support group regular, we look forward to seeing you!
If you would like to participate in our virtual Support Group, we ask that you:
-Engage in the same way you would if we were meeting in person: turn your camera on, show your smiling face, and introduce yourself!
-It is fine to call into the meeting using your telephone and not a webcam. However, we ask that you introduce yourself and be present as if you were meeting in person.
-You do not have to talk outside of introduction, but please keep your camera on if you are not called into the meeting via phone call
-There should not be others around unless they are a support person who intends to actively participate
-If others are nearby, it is recommended that headphones be used for more privacy.
-Be fully prepared to be present during group, not engaging in other activities.
-Please make sure you are in a safe and comfortable place during support group. Do not attempt to join the meeting while you are driving or participating in any activity that may be distracting to yourself or others. You may be asked to re-join the meeting at a later time if you are unable to adhere to this initially.
-Information shared during this group is to remain confidential - what happens in support group stays in support group.
