🌾 November Discovery Saturdays: Our Land’s History 🍂 Step into fall at Elachee this November with Discovery Saturdays celebrating the land, traditions, and wildlife of the Chicopee Woods! Families will enjoy hands-on crafts, guided hikes, and up-close encounters with animal ambassadors—all while learning about the cultures who once called this region home.
Highlights:
🎨 Crafts – Learn how to weave together yarn and sticks into a beautiful piece of art, and make your own beaded ear of corn.
👣 Guided Hike with History – Explore the forest while learning about the tools and techniques once used by the Creek and Cherokee peoples.
🦉 Animal Encounters – Meet some of Elachee’s resident animal ambassadors and discover their amazing adaptations.
