Join us as we celebrate our 3rd monthly Health & Wellness Community Day! Neighbors and volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome.Okra Abbey's entrance gates are on Hickory Street and Eagle Steet and our community refrigerator faces Hickory Street. Okra Abbey is located on New Orleans Public School Property and the school's address is 1800 Monroe St.
We will learn about the connections between the garden beds and the food we eat at the community table with Okra Abbey's Lead Gardener Billie Golan. We will connect with neighbors and grow community while we work on growing fresh and nutritious food.

11AM - Vegetable Gardening 101 with Billie the Gardener

We welcome groups, families, and individuals of all backgrounds to come work alongside other neighbors in our community giving garden.
We are open Mon-Thursday 8:30am-12:30pm.
Mon/Tues/Thurs we serve coffee at 8:30am.
Wednesdays at noon is Grace and Greens - our open table community meal.
100% of what we grow is shared through our Wednesday's lunch, our community refrigerator, and directly to our neighbors' porches.
