Info about the November Chorlton Wander from ride leader Andrew:-"Hello.
The November Chorlton Wander takes place next Sunday, November 10.
As usual, we'll be leaving from in front of the Warden's Office in the car park of Chorlton Water Park. Please be there by 10.00 to hear the safety talk.
The destination is Heaton Park and we'll be having lunch at the Woodthorpe in Prestwich. https://www.joseph-holt.com/pubs/woodthorpe-hotel
We can't pre-book the pub but it is a big place so we should be OK.
The route out there is largely traffic free with lots of well surfaced off-road.
There is one significant hill plus a couple of other, smaller ones including up to the Temple in Heaton Park. Total distance is around 50km/30miles.
The return is by part of the outward route and we'll go through Media City to avoid the worst of the congestion around Old Trafford.
I'm hoping that we'll be back before it goes dark but please bring lights just in case and remember that you'll have to get home after the ride as well.
