These hour-long sessions aim to provide you and your business with all the details of the 1% for the Planet annual certification process. We invite any and all 1% for the Planet members across the global network to join.
These sessions will be led by 1% for the Planet’s Certification Manager who will review all you need to know about the Member Portal, the annual certification process, and more.
Agenda:
- 20 min: Overview of Certification using the Member Portal. Members are encouraged to hold their questions until the end of the presentation.
- 40 min: Open Q&A. Members may come and go as needed. Business Membership staff will stay in the room for the full hour.
- Post: The presentation will be shared with attendees after Office Hours are over.
What is certification?
In order to certify a member’s annual giving, 1% for the Planet needs to receive proof of revenue and proof of donations made to approved 1% for the Planet environmental partners. Members have up to 4 months after the end of their fiscal year to provide these certification materials to certify their giving for the prior year, and to renew their membership for the current year.
The annual certification process provides credibility to the 1% for the Planet movement and to businesses that have made the 1% commitment. Certification is also an annual opportunity for members to assess the impact of their giving and track that impact over time. In order to renew your 1% for the Planet membership each year, you must certify the prior year. More here!
