The November book will be "The Scottish Homecoming: An Adult Fairy Tale" by Stephen M. Millett. The author is a member of book club and will lead the discussion of his book.Book club will meet on Wednesday, December 4th at 7:00 pm at 2000 Malvern Rd. and via Zoom. This will be the last book club meeting for the year.

During the 1880s, the Angus Mor MacKinnon family fought in the Battle of the Braes and had to emigrate from the Isle of Skye in Scotland after being evicted from their croft during the Highland Clearances.
Subsequently, four generations of Angus MacKinnons participated in the Scottish-American community of Chicago. In 2010, at the age of 60, the fourth Angus (“Gus”) MacKinnon lost his highly paid executive position during the American corporate clearances.
When he also became estranged from his wife, Gus felt compelled to return to the MacKinnon ancestral home of Skye, where he experienced several unexpected adventures as a proprietor of a B&B.
He became captivated by a beautiful, sensuous, and mysterious Scottish lass, Freya Fay, but was she really human or a fairy princess? She showed him “the Secret Commonwealth” or Otherworld of Fayria, an alternate universe, hidden deep within the Black Cuillins, or did he just imagine it?
