DESCRIPTION: Air source heat pumps are becoming the preferred alternative to fossil fuel heating, but sizing equipment for both heating and cooling presents new challenges. This presentation introduces upcoming performance metrics to align cooling and heat pump performance, along with strategies for properly sizing packaged rooftop heat pumps in heating-dominated climates. It should be an exciting presentation for our members!
SPEAKER BIO: Ryan Merritt is a Product Manager for AAON, Inc, a manufacturer of commercial HVAC equipment with facilities located in Tulsa, OK; Longview, TX; Kansas City, MO; Memphis, TN; and Redmond, OR. Ryan has worked for AAON since June 2020. In his first role as an Application Engineer, he worked with AAON’s extensive independent manufacturers’ representative network in pre-sale technical support. In his current role, Ryan guides AAON’s strategic planning of product development and marketing efforts.
Prior to joining AAON, Ryan held various technical sales roles as an independent manufacturers’ representative and outside sales for OEM engineered products and services for 9 years. Ryan has a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Tulsa.
