We built a short new section of trail in Kimball Pines in June. Now it’s time to go back and work on the tread and clean up the corridor after a summer of growth. The Chief Noonday Chapter will supply some tools, but please bring mattocks, pulaskis, McLeods, and/or fire rakes if you have them. Bring sturdy gloves and wear long pants. Long sleeves are recommended even if it's warm, as there are a lot of thorns in the area. Keep a close eye on the weather- it’s November in Michigan; anything can happen. Bring water and snacks. We will work until around lunchtime. Location: NCT Trailhead in Kimball Pines. Enter Kimball Pines on the recently developed entrance road about .1 miles west of the McDonald’s on Michigan Ave. Take the entrance road until it comes to a T near the bathroom.
