About this Event
Novato Baylands (Hamilton Wetlands) Coastal Cleanup!
When: Monday, February 16, 9am-11:30am
Organizer: Point Blue Conservation Science
Meeting Location: Novato Baylands Native Plant Nursery, 737 Aberdeen Rd, Novato, CA 94949
Join Point Blue Conservation Science staff in picking up trash along the edge of the wetlands! This effort will support the health of vital salt marsh habitat, home to hundreds of species of plants, birds, and other wildlife - including a number of endangered species.
This is an easy-moderate physical activity, requiring walking and bending on uneven, muddy ground. Carpooling in Point Blue work vehicles and/or personal vehicles will be necessary to reach the trash cleanup location.
Point Blue will provide gloves, tools, snacks, water, and other beverages. Bring a reusable water bottle, sun protection (hat, layers, sunscreen), long pants, and sturdy, closed-toed shoes. We will work in light rain, so please bring rain gear if it’s a wet day. Heavy rain will cancel.
Come have fun restoring a special natural space!
We strongly recommend filling a waiver out in advance; do so via this form.
