Nova Singers "Saturday Sing" and Auditions
Come join us as a Nova Singer for a day as we sing through some of the pieces we will perform this fall. If you like the experience (and we think you will), you can stay and audition. No prepared piece is required.

N ova Singers is a community chorus, open to all adults who sing soprano, alto, tenor or bass. We meet every Tuesday night in Oakland Park from September through May and perform three sets of concerts each year.
Come see what it's like to sing with us, and consider auditioning to become a member of Nova Singers! We will be singing some music planned for our 2025-2026 season.
You'll get a taste of what rehearsal is like, and have the chance to meet fellow choristers.

Our auditions aren't scary or intimidating.During the audition, the director will ask you to sing a familiar song, along with others, so he can determine which voice part is your best fit. The song will be repeated in a variety of keys, from very high to very low, so he can tell where your voice falls most comfortably.
Then, a soprano, alto, tenor and bass (some of them choir members) will be asked to sight-read a short passage together. You won't be expected to be a perfect sight-reader; we just want to know whether you can tell when the notes go up and down, and are longer or shorter.
