Our guest on Sunday will be Alice Rosenthal, the Communications & Fundraising Officer for Anawim. She'll be taking us through a woman's journey through Anawim and all the services that they offer. She'll also talk about the criminal justice work they are involved in, including early intervention, prison and a research project relating to the needs of criminalised women.
To support Anawim's work and the women they work with, we would love you to bring donations of toiletries (e.g. shampoo, shower gel, soap, deodorant, toothbrushes) to the meeting. We'd also love to have donations of fabric so that our crafty members can make some simple toiletry bags to hold these essentials. Suggested fabrics are cotton/cotton blends or something waterproof like shower curtains.
We welcome women visitors to this session (£6 fee on the door - cash or card). Drinks plus cake/biscuits are included.
Please help our volunteers spend less time in the kitchen and more time enjoying the meeting by bringing your own cup or mug and maybe a plate too. Thank you and we hope to see you on Sunday!
