Explore botanical subjects with mixed media artist Kirah Van Sickle and improve brush-handling, color-mixing, and composition, to create bold, dynamic watercolor paintings. Materials Needed:

• Watercolor-friendly Sketchbook
• Your preferred watercolor set or palette
• 140# Coldpress Watercolor block or pad 9 x 12″ size (Arches, Canson, Fluid, Strathmore, Fabriano brands recommended)
• Several watercolor specific brushes: round styles in #8, #10 and #12; A flat squared off “wash” brush 1/2″ wide bristles
• Water cup
• 1/2″ artist tape (painter’s tape works, too)
