About this Event
This class will be centered around exploring the different categories of herbs that nourish the nervous system.
First, we will discuss how anxiety and depression can show up in different unique ways for each of us. Then we will identify different categories of medicinal herbs and how they can help our nervous system in specific ways. We’ll also cover the safety aspects and contraindications that can arise when working with these herbs.
The class will then be able to make their own custom tea blends using the cups, hot water, tea bags, and herbs. While the tea is brewing and the class drinks their cups, I’ll host a paint/draw and sip as a way for us to be present and enjoy our teas!
About the Instructors:
Dialo is an associate who’s been working at Smile Herb Shop for 2 years. Through his own studies and personal healing he was able to pick up natural and creative ways to help heal and balance one’s emotional, mental, and spiritual essence via herbal blends, aromatherapy, mindfulness activities, etc.
Imani is a graduate student who is currently working towards obtaining her master’s degree in school psychology and plans to intertwine her personal love and passions for herbal and energy healing and art into her practice as a school psychologist and provide interventions and workshops that can help support and heal the community.
