About this Event
Join and for a transformative workshop exploring the connection between food, wellness, and emotional health.
As a complement to our Conscious Parenting series, this session—based on the chapter “Nourishing Your Mind, Body, and Soul”—invites parents and caregivers to explore the idea that Food Is Medicine, the foundation of vibrant health and emotional balance.
Together, we’ll discuss:
🔸 The link between food, mental health, and family well-being
🔸 How daily choices support our body’s natural systems
🔸 The role parents play in shaping their children’s health and relationship to nourishment
🔸 Simple, affordable ways to bring more healing foods into your home
To close, we’ll gather for an interactive cooking demonstration led by Roots to Rise educators, featuring light bites that bring these lessons to life.

💜 Presented by Siembra Today
We believe that mental health care and holistic wellness—including nutrition and mindfulness—must be bilingual, bicultural, and barrier-free. This event is part of our Mente Sana, Cuerpo Sano Initiative, which integrates trauma-informed conscious parenting with holistic approaches to nourishment and self-regulation.
🍎 Why This Matters
In our communities, access to food and access to mental health support are deeply intertwined. Many parents face barriers to care, time, and resources—making it difficult to prioritize nourishment and rest.
This workshop offers space to learn, heal, and connect, while exploring simple, culturally humble ways to nourish the mind, body, and soul through food and mindfulness.
