Please bring your own yoga gear as there are only a few things available in this space (10 bolsters & 14 blankets and some blocks). I recommend the following:
yoga mat
blanket for on top of the mat, blanket to cover up for shavasana
Yoga Block as a prop
Cushion for shavasana and as a prop
Yoga bolster (I use these a lot in my Yin sessions. A big rolled up blanket or big folded cushion can be a good substitute)
Eye Pillow
Wearing warm layers and bringing a favorite cushion and wooly socks for shavasana would be nice - anything to make yourself comfortable, depending on the season.
Wear something you can comfortably move in.
Bring your water bottle so you can stay hydrated.
Feel free to bring a special crystal, photo or anything meaningful to you to recharge with positive energy for our center piece.
Yin Yoga is a beautiful, slow, deep, meditative, relaxing practice that calms our nervous system and enables our body to reset and initiate healing processes. Its my favorite form of yoga, especially in these trying times, when outside influences can be overwhelming.
Yoga Nidra, or "yogic sleep," is a guided meditation technique for deep relaxation, inducing a state between wakefulness and sleep where the body rests deeply but the mind stays aware, often practiced lying down in Shavasana. It systematically brings awareness through the body (body scan), breath, and visualizations, helping to release physical, mental, and emotional stress by shifting the nervous system into "rest and digest," leading to profound rest, improved sleep, and clarity.
I use my set of 13 original Tibetan Singing Bowls for the past 8 years. For me Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing is a perfect match to initiate relaxation, calm the mind, gently move and support our bodies clear negative energy, release energy blocks and support good sleep and self healing.
