This is a workshop for stand-ups, or people who wish to pump up their public speaking skills. Learn to tell a funny and involving yarn.

The class is limited to 12 people.
By storytelling, we mean attention-grabbing tales, peppered or drenched with funny twists and turns to enthrall and delight your audience.
The "Early Bird" price is £65 (inc booking fee) and tickets are available until 1130pm Wednesday April 3rd, 2024.
Then the price increases to £85, 'Late Booker'.
It’s a fun and practical workshop that looks at :
* How we can develop a funny story from an initial idea to a finished bit.
* Techniques to generate ideas for stories.
* How to develop and edit a story.
* What makes a story work for you and your on stage persona.
* Adding the funny.
Learn to share key information in the most amusing way. After all, stories are often teachable tales.
The aim of the day is for you to be able to take events that have happened, or have not happened, and make them funny to the audience in front of you.
The tutor, Alfie Noakes is the creator of the We Are Funny Project.
Alfie was a successful film journalist for more than a decade. He has spent the last 14 years producing, promoting and MCing live comedy. He has a unique stance on fashions of storytelling and producing performances to comic effect and a specific couple of his blogs will provide an insight as to Alfie's attitude and experience.
