Vivita / Lahenduste Laboratoorium invites all people in the "Noto knot のとのっと",a heartfelt charity event to support the recovery efforts for Japan’s beautiful Noto Peninsula. ???? Free entrance.
? Why charity?
On January 1, 2024, the Noto Peninsula in Japan was severely impacted by a major earthquake, also tsunami and big fire after it, causing widespread damage to homes, infrastructure and farmland.
Just as the area was recovering from that disaster, heavy rains in late September caused extensive damage again in the same area.
The damage is so severe that it is expected to take more than ten years to recover.
We, VIVITA has one of our studios close to the Noto Peninsula; our colleagues have been trying to support them.
? About Noto (能登)
The Noto Peninsula, located on the middle north-west coast of Japan, is a region of breathtaking natural beauty and rich cultural history. Known for its traditional arts, including Japanese lacquerware and vibrant festivals, Noto embodies a deep connection between people and nature.
Through "Noto Knot," we aim to bridge cultures and create meaningful connections between Japan and Estonia.
Attendees will experience a taste of Japanese culture with fun, hands-on activities, including Japanese calligraphy workshops and the chance to enjoy dango—a traditional Japanese sweet symbolizing unity.
Door will be open from 13:00 to 16:00 so you are welcome to drop in yourself, with friends or family anytime.
