About this Event
The class will begin on Sunday, October 19th, and will be held every Sunday from 10:00am-12:00 pm.
During the course of the 8-week class, the student will learn the following skills:
Casting on/Casting (binding) off stitches
- The knit (garter) stitch
- The purl stitch
- Alternating between knit and purl stitches
- Pattern reading/knitting abbreviations
- Sewing/Assembling knitted projects Each lesson plan will come with a handout with pictures and directions for future review. A weekly video will also be emailed to class members to review what skills were taught in class.
All the materials necessary to complete the class projects will be provided
A report covered with plastic binding for class handouts and student notes.
- Soft tape measure
- Knitting row counter
- Plastic large-eye sewing needle
- Pillow fluff to fill 10”x10” final project
- 1 cone (700yds) of solid cotton 4ply yarn
- Size 8 straight knitting needles
A fun social "graduation" gathering where students can show off their projects and receive a drink ticket (will you have beer) along with some light snacks.
