We all need to let off steam from time to time...learn embroidery basics while indulging in a little irreverence. Reframing "women's work" like traditional embroidery is popular for a reason...it's a fantastic stress relief, and who doesn't love a good "stitch-N-b*tch.?" Join us for a satisfying mid-week evening stitching inspired by difficult women everywhere (and those who put it in writing). We'll also learn how to transfer an original drawing or pattern to fabric and stitch whatever naughty or nice you'd like to get out in basic embroidery stitch-work.
This class is led by Tami Fuller of Blubird Studio.
About the instructor:
Tami Fuller is a second-generation fiber artist, and works as an educator and exhibiting fine fiber artist in East Aurora. Her work integrates the traditional foundations of hand-constructed
processes with modern technique. Her teaching presents the fiber arts in new, modern contexts that are still strongly rooted in traditional practices, and she teaches across both New York State and nationwide.
She offers both private and group instruction. Her work has been published internationally and has received awards from NY Sheep
and Wool and the Carnegie Art Center, and is held in private collections in the US, Canada and Australia. She is an
exhibiting member of the Buffalo Society of Artists and 2022 Roycroft Emerging Artist in Fiber.
