Pottery Basics - Learn the Pottery Wheel (8+ years)
Subject: Wheelwork Workshop
Description: Explore the beautiful art of pottery during this fun, creative and slightly messy workshop. Presented by Not Yet Perfect in the beautiful, light filled, Heathcote ceramics studio, participants will discover how pottery is created from start to finish.
Participants can expect to learn a complete set of wheel working skills, including:
The basics of using the pottery wheel
Preparing the clay before for turning on the wheel
Centering the clay on the wheel
How to create different shapes on the wheel
No prior experience necessary.
Materials Used:
Stoneware clay, wooden and plastic pottery tools
Participants Take Home:
1 fired and glazed ceramics piece
What to Bring:
Apron or towel, all materials and equipment provided in class.
Workshop Duration:
1.5hours
Collection Date:
8 weeks max after workshop, all participants will be notified via text

Please select carefully when choosing your workshop date and time. We DO NOT refund or reschedule workshop bookings. If you are unable to attend a workshop, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person. If requested for, all pieces made will be fired and glazed and ready for pickup minimum of 8 weeks after workshop date. All participants will be notified when items are ready for pickup.
