About this Event
Presented by Boneless Light Berlin, Not-So-Midsommer is your desperately needed space to cry out your exhaustion at the conditions we live under and burn any reminders of what has been heavy on your heart.
The performance will conclude with an installation structure burning in flames. Bring your ex's letters, mail from the Finanzamt, and a transcript of that humiliatingly heartfelt mesage you drafted in your notes app. And any other reminders of your burnout and exhaustion! It's time to set it all on fire.
Not-So-Midsommer will feature two performances from New York and Berlin based artists, video installation work, and beloved DJ sets to dance out your emotions.

Featured Works
Last 2 Brain Cells
Performed and Choreographed by Jujunana
Last 2 Brain Cells exists inside the strange electricity of being bound together, forming a single, split creature.
Oscillating between elegance and collapse, seduction and absurdity, dependence and synchronicity, femininity is stretched into alien proportions—rendered unruly, dangerous, and self-possessed. Humor and sensuality coexist, not to soften contradiction, but to amplify it.
This duet blends performance art, live sculpture, and high-concept dance to explore identity, sensuality, and transformation. Our aim is not to resolve these questions, but to inhabit them unapologetically and viscerally. We’re twins, lovers, sisters, strangers…or your last two brain cells.
Too Busy to Burn
Choreographed by Laura DeAngelis
Performed by Beatrice Collevecchio, Jazlyn Goldsworthy, Tea Nadir, and Naia Urresti
Music by Atmospheric Conditions
Sisyphos couldn’t stop rolling the boulder up the hill, but you can. And you still don’t stop. Relentlessly. Until the spark of motivation is gone and your intentions become a ghost of what they once were, replaced by the torturously exhausting tragedy of following your own dreams. Too Busy to Burn is an exploration of exhaustion and burnout, and the violent consequences of over-determination. If you leave a kettle on a stove for too long, it screams and screams. If ignored, it burns down your home. The work unfolds around an impossible task: the attempt to destroy an installation structure through repetitive physical labor until it destroys itself from the inside out.
The Sleep Protocol™️
Concept/Direction by J. René Guerra
Performance by Laura DeAngelis
A video dance that turns rest into an impossible ritual: a body trapped between beauty protocols, capitalism, and promises of eternal youth. An ironic and corrosive piece that subverts the intimacy of sleep into a spectacle of control and artifice.
Join us in this cumulative moment of our year to share with you what we have been working tirelessly on. We believe in our work, we believe in what we have to share, and we believe in you, our community, to be celebrated with it.
After our performance and ritual burning, we will celebrate with Berlin based DJs Atmospheric Conditions and DJ Koposan serenading our community celebration.
We look forward to sharing this event with you!
