About this Event
Nosferatu is one of the undoubted classics of silent cinema and we are proud to present it with live organ accompaniment for our Halloween screening. Made in 1922, Nosferatu was the first screen adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula and, even 100 years after its production, it still retains the power to disturb.
We are pleased to welcome Andy Quinn back to Thorngate Halls to accompany the film following his wonderful performance at our first slient screening, Steamboat Bill Jr.
The evening will begin with a talk about the history of the film, including it's status as a key moment in the German Expressioninst film movement and it's ongoing influence on cinema culture.
