F.W. Murnau’s Nosferatu is a masterpiece of German Expressionist cinema, an artistic adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. It not only introduced pioneering filmmaking techniques but also encapsulated the societal fears of the early Weimar Republic in response to the rise of women into political power to anxieties surrounding the source of the Spanish Flu epidemic.
