We are thrilled to have Denver's Quarkestra Orchestra back at Gnarly Bard Theater for two nights of amazing original scores, performed live to two of the most classic silent films of all time!Nosferatu (1922) ~ Featuring an original live score by Denver’s own Quarkestra Orchestra!
Subtitled A Symphony of Horror and shot in the Carpathian mountains of Transylvania and in Germany, director F.W. Murnau's NOSFERATU—an unauthorized version of Bram Stoker's classic novel Dracula—is considered by many to be the greatest vampire movie of all time.
About Quarkestra:
Formed with multi-instrumentalists in the Denver area, each performance is unique. New original musical scores are tailored to play off of audience reaction, the musicians' intuition, and the action on-screen. Quarkestra makes use of traditional orchestral, electronic, and period instruments as well as live Foley sound effects to create an unforgettable soundscape.
Quarkestra will also be performing their score to the 1925 classic THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA the previous evening! Get tickets to both!
