Created in the early 2020s by saxophonist and clarinettist Bastien Weeger and beatboxer and bass clarinet specialist Julien Stella, duo NoSax NoClar quickly made their name inventing a music that is at the same time lyrical, playful and emotionally powerful. They propose a kind of imaginary folklore that is impossible to resist.After Kahmsïn in 2020 and Red Sisters in 2021, the group released their third album, No Dahïs, in November 2023, blending lively, hard-hitting tracks where timbre, rhythm and melody are one - a whole network of subliminal influences ranging from modern jazz to traditional Celtic, Turkish, Berber and Armenian music.
The french duo has been winning over professionals since 2019 (Jazz Migration 2019, Jazzahead 2023 and 1st Prize of 7 Virtual Jazz Club Contest 2023), and with over 130 concerts has seduced the general public with its concentration of raw beauty and pure energy.
