Join members of the Waldemar Ager Association for a demonstration of how to prepare two traditional Norwegian foods: krumkake and lefse. Krumkake is a cone-shaped waffle cookie made of flour, butter, eggs, sugar, and cream that is often made in preparation for Christmas. Lefse is a traditional soft Norwegian flatbread made with riced potatoes, can include all purpose (wheat) flour, and includes butter, and milk, cream, or lard.Where: Altoona Public Library, 1303 Lynn Ave, Altoona, WI 54720
Who: Anyone interested in learning about how to prepare this Norwegian holiday food. This event is open to the public. Participation is limited to 30 on a first-come basis.
