Readers in southeast Michigan, please take note that author Robert Burnham will be presenting a talk at the Northville Public Library on June 20th, 2022, at 7:00 PM in the main conference room. This slide and video presentation will examine the development of nuclear weapons at the dawn of World War Two and portray the historical background revealing the very close call our planet had with the Nazis capturing atomic energy at the beginning of the war. In addition to slides and video, the presentation will feature excerpts from the new book from Simon and Schuster Archway titled The Armageddon Secret: A Novel Inspired by Actual Events. This work of historical fiction, published by Simon & Schuster Archway in October 2021, begins, “At the dawn of WWII, Hitler’s scientists were three years ahead of America in the race for the atom bomb. Someone had to stop them . . . or civilization dies.” Based on extensive research, the book uses both real and fictional characters to imagine how the world was spared a Nazi Armageddon. Robert holds B.S. and M.S.E. degrees from the University of Michigan and is a Board-Certified Forensic Engineer. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and author signing.
