About this Event
Join us for a half-day, interactive Marine Connections Hui bringing together organisations and educators involved in marine conservation and marine education across Te Tai Tokerau.
This hui is a chance to step out of the busy-ness, connect with like-minded people, and harness collective thinking and knowledge. Together, we’ll explore shared challenges, build momentum on tough issues, and look for practical ways to collaborate, while also celebrating the great mahi already happening.
The session will be interactive, creative and purposeful, with a mix of short presentations, collective kōrero, shared learning, and activities to explore and build connections.
Together we will:
- Explore opportunities to collaborate around key marine conservation events.
- Share what everyone is working on, the challenges you’re seeing, and the strengths and successes across the region.
- Learn about new tools and resources that can support marine conservation and education mahi.
- Hear updates around marine biosecurity issues.
You’ll leave with:
- A deeper understanding of the work happening in marine conservation across Te Tai Tokerau
- Stronger connections with others in the marine conservation and education space
- Collaborative ideas and opportunities to build on together
Cost is a very reasonable $20 per person, including lunch.
Places are limited to keep the hui engaging and interactive, so early registration is essential. Limited to 30 participants - registrations close Jan 23rd.
