USBC CERTIFIED TOURNAMENT RULES
1. Only USBC certified bowlers are eligible to bowl.
2. Tournament will consist of one squad at 11 am
3. . This is a handicap tournament. Each team will receive handicap of 80% of the difference of their combined northern Michigan 700 club average or 2024-2025 highest yearbook averages and 440* pins.
4. Entering average:
A. Northern Michigan 700 club average of 8 or more games
B. Last season 2024-2025 highest USBC yearbook average of 21 or more games.
C. Rule 319e-2 (15 pins over average) is in effect. If you have a current league average of at least 21 games as of tournament date that is 15 pins over your highest yearbook average for 2020-2021 season then you must adjust your roster/average for tournament play.
D. If no average last season, highest current season USBC certified league average as of tournament date for 21 or more games.
E. Bowlers with neither of the above averages will be valued with a 220 average.
5 Closing times for entries will be 30 minutes before scheduled time to bowl.
6. All prize money will be returned 100% at a ratio of at least 1 prize for every 5 entries.
7. At least one bowler must have bowled a certified 700 series and be a member in good standing of the Northern Michigan 700 Club this is also a mixed doubles so one bowler must be male one must be female
9. Non-members of the Northern Michigan 700 Club can become members by paying (a one time $55.00 membership fee
the day of tournament.
10. Any bowler falsifying average will be disqualified in accordance with USBC Rule 319a-3 which states in part: Failure
to use the correct average shall disqualify score if submitted average is lower that correct average thereby resulting in a lower classification or more handicap. Prize winnings shall be based on the submitted average if it is higher than the correct average. However, corrections in averages may be permitted up to the completion of the first game of the series.
11. All decisions of the tournament management ( Tournament Manager) are final unless an appeal is made in
accordance with USBC rule 329.
12. Prize checks and tournament results will be mailed to bowlers within 30 days after the tournament ends.
13. USBC Rule 319a-2 (10 pin average rule) and 319d (prize winnings) are waived for all participants in this tournament.
14. No prize money will be paid out the day of the tournament; all prize money will be mailed / distributed to the winning
individuals within 30 days.
15. Please observe our Dress Code
Dress Pants or Shorts (NO CUTOFFS,GYM,BIKE,STRETCH ETC).
All pants and shorts must be presentable and can be disallowed by 700 Club board Tournament Entry Will Not be returned
700 Club Shirts must be worn (if not worn there will be a $5.00 fine to be paid before bowling if new shirt is paid for and ordered before tournament fine will be waived
All bowlers MUST wear collared shirt and appropriate pants/shorts NO HATS WILL BE ALLOWED DURING TOURNAMENT PLAY
